Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading

This is how it works

Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers.
This weeks teaser comes from
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
So you're waiting, even if you don't quite know it, waiting for the moment when you realise that you really are different to them; that there are people out there, like Madame, who don't hate you or wish you any harm, but who nevertheless shudder at the very thought of you - of how you were bought into the world and why - and who dread the idea of your hand brushing against theirs. The first time you glimpse yourself through the eyes of a person like that, it's a cold moment.
So what's your teaser this week? Leave me a link!

  1. I like your blog design! This teaser sounds so interesting - really well written and chilling.

My teaser is from a favorite series which I am re-reading in parts:
You can visit this David Weber book and my latest update on ebook news at e-Volving Books
Drop a note if you follow me, I follow back!

  2. That is a sad but interesting teaser and It's got my curiosity piqued.

  3. I agree, that is a sad teaser. Great pick! My teaser is at Coffee Table Press

  4. Wow, that's intense. Great teaser. Mine is at The Crowded Leaf.

  5. Here is my teaser from Out of Touch by Brandon Tietz (Page vii):

I used to be the kind of guy that would have no problem reading Playboy or Hustler on an airplane, but that me in "the before," and nearly everything has changed since that time in my life a little over a year ago.

This is not a coming of age story.

If that's what you're wanting then I suggest you put this down and read something else: something with a happy ending. Like Penthouse.

    Or: the funny pages.

This is me giving you your official warning.

Because where this goes, you might not be ready for.

  6. Great teaser. I keep meaning to read this book. You can see my teaser here if you'd like to pop by.

  7. What an intriguing teaser! I want to read this book and then see the movie (eventually).

  8. *Shuddering*So many questions and hopefully satisfying answers to them, because I just featured NEVER LET ME GO in my last wishlist post. Great teaser!
